The Culture of Design ID

At the heart of Design ID is a great team. We aim to offer a competitive salary and benefits package combined with a commitment to learning and development of all staff. As important as this is, we also strive to make our studio a great place to work.

Our staff social club organise numerous events and parties throughout the year. These have ranged from water skiing to go-karting and treetop adventures. We also have more subdued lunches at the local public house a few doors away.

The introduction of a Cycle to Work scheme allows employees to purchase a tax free bicycle.

As a growing practice, Design ID provides an ideal environment for ambitious and creative structural and civil engineers to develop their craft. Our competitive salary and generous benefits package are supported by a strong commitment to learning and career development, with Mentor support provided on a one to one basis for both ICE and IStructE Chartership.

More recently we have provided Design & Build Consultancy services to Contractors & Clients with particular expertise in Road, Rail and Pedestrian Bridges. In particular, we can use our expert knowledge of construction site logistics and temporary works, to create efficient designs that are simple to construct. We can do this while still achieving the high end detailing and aesthetics we all want to achieve in the finished product.

We currently do not have any vacancies but we welcome speculative applications from talented engineers who believe they can make a positive contribution to our dynamic team.

What you'll get in return

If successful you will join a thriving business, with excellent scope for career progression and development, as we put our employees at the heart of our business. Design ID is a vibrant practice with a relaxed atmosphere, where the directors and senior staff retain a ‘hands on’ approach throughout the full project cycle, whilst always taking the time to pass on our expertise. As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, weekly, interactive skills sessions have been introduced to promote best practice throughout the company. In return you can expect to be offered a competitive salary, generous holiday arrangements, a contribution to pension, healthcare policy, vouchers for childcare and cycle to work scheme.
