This new 4m wide cable stayed steel Pedestrian Cycle Bridge, spanning 100m over the River Mourne, joins two historically divided communities in Strabane, Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland. The bridge was designed and constructed with a tight budget, whilst still providing a very high quality architectural finish.
Design ID were commissioned by the Main Contractor to undertake design services for the bridge, including Architectural detailing and Civil and Structural Design. Our Lead Civil Infrastructure Engineer, Associate Simon Lamont, was involved throughout the scheme as Architect and Scheme Project Manager direct to the client, to detail engineering designer, under a D&B procurement.
