Heather studied Business Administration Management with Tourism in New College Durham. Following an initial career in Overseas tourism as a Resort Manager abroad, Heather returned to Northern Ireland, where she worked for 8 years as an Account Manager for a local linen supplier, her role requiring travel throughout UK & Ireland. With a young family, and keen to stay closer to home, Heather undertook a local opportunity to work as a Ski Instructor in Northern Ireland for 3 years before joining Design ID as an Administrative Assistant in May 2016.

Heather's has an admin role in Design ID, including Social Media, as demonstrated by Design ID’s public persona communicated through LinkedIN, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and our website.

Part Qualified Association of Accounting Techinican

Laurie describes herself as a “Jack of all trades, master of none”

Her varied career started in 1989 as receptionist/office administrator for a local Chartered Accountancy firm, back in the day when technology was in the form of one very large computer and the Wordstar word processing package.
From there, she moved to a local electronics firm which specialised in electrical default recorders, her role was office administration and purchase ledger accounting. It was around this time that technology started to “boom” so she is very much self taught in her IT skills. It was also during this time, through the Investor in People scheme that she part qualified with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
After four plus years in that industry Laurie moved into a purchasing role with a local fastener company. This was eventually to become more of a financial position due to company restructure which was to last more than 13 years.
Other finance roles followed before she ventured into Customer Services in February 2015. This move saw her in a busy performance based role with various administration duties in the background within a printing a distribution company.
Although she enjoyed her time in Customer Services she always wanted to get back to her “finance administration” roots and is delighted to join the Design ID Team.

Joanne studied Information Management and Economics at Queens University Belfast. After graduating and gaining a further management qualification she enjoyed a 12-year retail management career focusing on Customer Relations and Human Resources, in a large multinational high street environment.

Joanne joined Design ID in 2008, in the early stages of the business development, as Business Support Manager. As the company has evolved she is now primarily responsible for Finance and Human Resources, her role including administration of the company accounts, insurances, pay role, expenses, project finance control, and the day to day wellbeing and HR management of the staff at Design ID.
