ICE Emerging Engineers Award - Mark Coughlin - 2nd Place

This week Mark, one of our undergraduate engineers, placed 2nd in Northern Ireland’s Regional Final of the ICE Emerging Engineers Award, which entailed writing a 4000 word paper and giving a presentation to a judging panel. Competing against two graduate engineers, Mark presented his innovative research of how optical techniques can be used to measure dynamic bridge displacement, along with the practical, safety and sustainability benefits it can have. Well done Mark!
