This incredible transformation of a Victorian prison, Belfast’s notorious Crumlin Road Gaol, into a modern distillery not only preserves its rich stories but also showcases our commitment to innovative engineering.

The engineering-led solution features stunning steel V-columns and precast concrete gull-wings, demonstrating what creative engineering can add to a project. Our Conservation Accredited team expertly balanced minimal intervention with the preservation of the original slate and cast iron walkways and stairs, highlighting our unique ability to blend creativity and conservation.

This honour reflects not just our hard work over the past 12 years but acts as a testament to the remarkable journey we’ve embarked on since 2005. It validates our vision and positions Design ID as a true competitor in the engineering world.
