Located at Weavers Court, Belfast, the Cyber Building is the largest and latest in a series of creative and innovative office developments on this former weaving industry Belfast city centre hub. The next phase of development at Weavers Court, the new building is the largest flagship within the heart of this Creative Industries development in Belfast providing 4000m2 of flexible space to both new & growing business. These offices focus on high-tech and TV/film industries whilst compromising façade treatment that is both comparative and contrasting with the Belfast heritage associated with the weaving industry.
The provision of flexible Grade A office space with an eye to the Information Technology sector was basis of the brief for this development. An existing carpark and abutting sloped grassed area was identified, by the client, for the development and is positioned at one of the farthest extremities of this campus style business park off Sandy Row. Records indicate that the site was historically industrial and had been occupied by various brick built flax and linen buildings dating back to the mid-1800s, which were demolished to provide car parking during the late 1990s. The site located where the business park meets the Grade B2 listed St. Aidan’s Church and surrounding two storey residential dwellings.
