Offsite construction methods are fundamental for rapid expansion of educational facilities
With a growing demand for quality educational space within the region, the construction of five modular buildings to formed part of an initiative aimed at expanding the college's capacity.
Exploiting Design ID's expertise in the modular space, the MMC team provided detailed structural design of the buildings to create column-free classroom spaces whilst considering transport, lifting and future re-use. The design incorporated flexibility to accommodate various classroom sizes and layouts, ensuring that the buildings could adapt to the evolving needs of the college. The use of offsite construction techniques allowed for a rapid build, minimizing disruption to the existing school operations.
Design ID worked closely with Vision Built from concept through to detailed design to ensure a seamless site install, adhering to the high standards required for educational facilities. The completed modular buildings now provide Davitt College with modern, adaptable spaces that support the expansion.
