Design ID were appointed by FPMcCann to provide Temporary Works Design Checking and Technical Approval Advisory services on the refurbishment of an existing footbridge at the Lambeg Railway Station. A key part of the scheme was the design checking of a Temporary Access Footbridge over the railway line, to facilitate removal and repair of the existing footbridge at the station.
A series of night-time possession windows were required throughout the construction to facilitate the installation and removal of the bridge structures. Design ID assisted with several design checks to include Temporary Connection Designs, Bridge Lifting Checks and associated working platform checks.
