Larne Market Yard
Conservation & Restoration | Refurbishment | Commercial & Industrial | Community & Leisure
Larne Market Yard officially opened on Saturday 7th September 2013 to the delight of Larne Borough Council and all who attended. All the effort and hard work over the past 5 years (and longer for the architect, Kennedy Fitzgerald!) has paid off.
The Douglas Fir Queen Post trusses in the Auction House were meticulously replaced, with all mortice and tenon joints as per those used on the original. Understanding traditional joinery techniques is a key aspect of our work when we design timber structures and this can also be seen on the project at St Mel’s Cathedral, Longford.
