University of Brighton Business School

Design ID were appointed by Gilbert Ash to perform the Civil and Structural Engineering design for the new-build Business School at the University of Brighton. The new Business School at the UOB is a 6-storey concrete frame building and the centerpiece of the transformation of the Moulsecoomb campus. The academic building provides state-of-the-art modern and flexible teaching and social space. The structure boasts a double height open atrium, cantilever slabs around central building voids, exposed visual concrete and feature stairs. The external infrastructure utilises SuDS – Sustainable Drainage Systems.
