James graduated from Imperial College London in 2010 with a master’s degree in Civil Engineering. Following structural engineering positions at Waterman Group and Price & Myers, James worked at Walsh designing high-rise reinforced concrete frames for leading clients in London, before joining the Design ID London team.
James runs the volumetric modular projects within Design ID. With the effective delivery of over 250 MMC schemes in the healthcare, education, justice, defence, retail and residential sectors, James has successfully implemented structural design workflows which align with the process-driven systems employed throughout the offsite construction industry. Key projects include Abbey Farm Primary School, the first modular school delivered on The Department for Education (DfE)'s £3bn Off-site Schools Framework, a multi-award winning 3-storey modular office for Imperial War Museum staff, Imjin Barracks Standard Living Accommodation for the British Army and a Mental Health Assessment Unit at Kingston Hospital.
James is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and outside work spends his spare time producing electronic music for various record labels.
