Niamh, a Civil Infrastructure Engineer with over five years of experience across the UK and Ireland, specialises in bridges and public realm projects. She holds a 1st Class MEng in Structural Engineering with Architecture from Queen’s University, Belfast. At Design ID, Niamh leads project management and communication efforts for various assessment and repair frameworks across the UK and Ireland, showcasing her expertise across various civil infrastructure sectors including; bridges, public realm, marine, industrial and rail.

Niamh’s accomplishments include being the ICE NI Emerging Engineer Winner (2021) for the Blackwater Bridge Replacement, and the ICE Ferguson Award Winner (2023) for her contributions to the Swan Park Restoration Project. She has also served as Chairperson for the Institution of Civil Engineers Early Careers Network (NI) in 2022/23, coordinating CPD events across ROI and NI regions. Passionate about inspiring the next generation of engineers, Niamh actively advocates for the civil and structural engineering fields.

In her free time, she enjoys playing Gaelic football with St. Jude’s in Dublin, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and treating colleagues to her homemade bakes.
