Stephen Monaghan

Stephen graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2017 with a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering with Architecture. He was awarded an ICE QUEST Undergraduate Scholarship from the Institution of Civil Engineers throughout the duration of his studies. Stephen also became a STEMNET Ambassador and engaged in activities to promote engineering in the primary and post primary school environment. During Stephen’s studies he undertook several summer work placements in the Design ID Hillsborough office. After graduation Stephen took up a position as a Structural Engineer in Design ID London office. During this time Stephen has gained valuable experience in modular and steel design. Stephen applies a positive work ethic to all aspects of his projects and his main interests include structural and conceptual design, sustainability and management.
